The CARES supervisors are trained to examine a variety of behaviors.  In a functional behavior analysis, the target behavior is defined, the antecedents and consequences are examined, data is collected and proactive and reactive plans for addressing the behavior are developed.  The child's caregivers are then trained on how to work the plan and modifications are made if needed.  The caregivers can include the child's parents, other family members, teacher, aide and tutors.
