Senia Vitale, Ph.D. (PSY 14809) and CARES family services offer individual, family and group counseling. Dr. Vitale and many of the CARES supervisors are licensed clinical psychologists or registered psychological assistants working under the license of a clinical psychologist. These professionals have a background in child and family therapy. They are trained to provide psychotherapy services to individuals with a variety of diagnoses. These do not only include Autism and PDD, but also include other developmental disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Tic Disorders and others.

Family services are offered as an additional support system for individuals diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder and any of their family members. Services include individual psychotherapy, couples psychotherapy, family therapy and diagnostic evaluations.
Dr. Vitale is the Director of Family Services for the Center for Autism Research, Evaluation and Service. Dr. Vitale has been a practicing clinical psychologist since 1996. Her practice includes individual, marital and family psychotherapy, neurocognitive and psychoeducational testing. Dr. Vitale also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals of all ages diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder or other neuropsychological disorders.
